Listing, Ranking & Removal

1. How companies get listed

Nextprojex builds company pages from public and publicly available information — company websites, published project and award listings, public permit and government records, and information members add about the companies they work with. Most pages exist before anyone from that company joins.

We do this because a directory that only contains companies who signed up isn't a directory — it's a mailing list. The industry is useful to look up only when the whole industry is in it.

What a listing is not

• Not representation. Appearing on Nextprojex does not mean we represent, distribute, or sell for that company, and it does not create any agency or business relationship.
• Not endorsement. A page is a factual record of who a company is and where they work. It is not our opinion of them.
• Not affiliation. Competitors appear alongside each other, the same way they do in every trade directory, product index, and association member list in this industry.

Company names and logos are used to identify the companies they belong to. All marks remain the property of their owners.

2. Nobody can buy placement

• No paid ranking. There is no sponsored placement, no promoted listing, no advertising position. Ordering cannot be purchased at any price.
• No paid removal. A company cannot pay to have a competitor removed, downranked, or excluded from a category.
• No pay-to-be-listed. Listing and claiming are free, and stay free.

This is the point of the directory. The moment placement is for sale, being in it stops meaning anything.

3. How results are ordered

Ordering is by how complete a company page is, and then alphabetical by company name within the same level of completeness. That is the whole rule.

• Completeness is measured, not judged. A fixed formula counts what is filled in — logo, description, location, website, phone, territory, and the rest. The same formula runs against every company. Nobody scores a page by hand.
• Nothing about position is for sale. No sponsored placement, no promoted listing, no advertising position. Ordering cannot be purchased at any price.
• No pinned companies. No company — including the operator's own — is placed above another by hand or by exception.
• Every company can climb it, free. The only way to rank higher is to fill your page in, which costs nothing and takes minutes. Claiming a page is free and always will be.
• Filtering narrows, it never reorders. Search terms, role, category, and territory decide which companies appear. Completeness and the alphabet decide the order they appear in.
• The same list for every viewer. Two people running the same search see the same results in the same order.

The directory is run by AI automation rather than a sales team, which is what makes this practical: the same rule runs against all 41,000+ companies, every time, with nobody in a position to make an exception.

This replaces a purely alphabetical rule. The reason is plain: sorted by name alone, a page with nothing on it outranks a real firm with a logo, a description and a territory, purely because of the letter it starts with. That serves nobody looking for a company. Completeness is the one signal that is mechanical, free to improve, and impossible to buy.

4. Claim, correct, or remove your page

Every company page is yours to take over. Claiming is free and gives you full control of the page — logo, description, territory, products, projects, and the people listed on it.

What removal means

• We remove the company page and stop building a new one from public sources.
• The company can still be named by members in their own profiles, projects, and posts — that's their speech about their own work, and we don't erase it.
• Removal is reversible. Ask us to put it back any time, or claim it yourself later.

Corrections

If something on a page is wrong — a location, a product line, a project, an award — tell us and we'll correct or remove it. We don't require you to prove the negative; if a company says a fact about itself is wrong, that's enough.

5. Conflicts of interest & who runs this

Disclosure is worth more than a claim of neutrality, so here it is in plain terms.

• Nextprojex is operated by one person. NextprojeX LLC is an independent North Carolina company with a single owner-operator, Ryan Marceron. There is no staff, no board, and no outside investor. When this page says "we," it means him.
• The company is not owned by, funded by, or affiliated with any manufacturer, distributor, contractor, or rep agency.
• He also works as an architectural sales representative at Conners Sales Group. Conners Sales Group is listed on Nextprojex on exactly the same terms as every other rep agency — no badge, no priority, no editorial preference.
• Where a manufacturer is represented by a rep agency, that relationship is labeled on the page rather than hidden.

How a sole operator keeps this honest

A one-person company can't put a conflict behind an independent reviewer, so it removes the discretion instead.

• There are no ranking decisions to make. Ordering is a fixed completeness formula, then the alphabet (§3). No one — including the operator — can move a company up a list, because position is computed, not assigned.
• Removal is unconditional. Any company can have its page taken down on request (§4), with no reason required and no judgment call to make.
• Decisions are written down. Where a rule does have to be applied to a company in a category Conners Sales Group operates in, the action and the rule behind it are recorded, and that record is available to the company on request.
